Heh heh. I just discovered a set of Japanese language tapes I took out from the library...a long time ago. The late fees are probably pretty frightening by now.

Back they go! Fortunately the BPL doesn't require you to pay late fees when you drop things off. This does mean, however, that I won't be checking anything out until I can pay them off.

Sneak 'em into the library, and put it back where it belongs. Then tell them that you returned them long ago, and you don't know why they're still listed on your account as "checked out". They will check the shelves, find them, assume they screwed up, and cancel the late fees.

Of course, this is dishonest as heck, but it works... beware of cameras on the entry and/or exit.
