It is damn hot today. I've got all the windows open but it's still sweltering in here. Also, just in the last few minutes I've started to smell what seems to be burned grass—like driving through the central valley after a controlled burn in the rice paddies. At first I thought it was another fire in the hills, but I see no smoke. Weird.
