One hell of an actor, a great philanthropist (all profits from Newman's Own products go to charity), and from all accounts a real stand-up guy.
I just found out today at the video store. They were having a bit of a Newman marathon. I caught the end of Cool Hand Luke, and they were about to start showing Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid when I left.
